The luminaire shall be a 1200 wattfollow spotlight designed to acceptonly a 1200 watt HMI type metalhalide lamp. Field angle shall bevariable with interchangeablelenses. The gate assembly shall havea heavy-duty nichrome steel iris andfading shutter. Lamp mounting shallbe of shock mount type. A safetyswitch shall be fitted to the lamphouse top, preventing lampoperation with lamp house open.Power to the spotlight shall be viatwo push buttons mounted in thespotlight head. Removal of the lamphouse top or loss of power shallrender the spotlight in the "off"mode. Replacement of the top orrestoring of the power shall notunexpectedly relight the lamp.Restriking the lamp shall requirea momentary push of the "on"button. An aluminum triple flattedreflector shall be supplied. The unitshall include an elapsed time meter.An operations unit containing thespotlight electronics shall bequickly accessible from the bottomof the spotlight head. A quickrelease electrical connector shall bemounted on the bottom of thespotlight for connection to theremote ballast unit. The luminairecan be supplied with a variety ofmounting options which are notincluded in this specification.Current draw at 120 VAC shall notexceed 20 amperes. Photometricdata shall conform to the tableprovided. The luminaire shall be aLycian Stage Lighting StarkLiteModel 1271.
