The luminaire shall be a 1200 watt followspotlight designed to accept only a 1200watt single ended HMI 1200SE or MSR-1200HR type metal halide lamp. The gateassembly shall include a heavy dutynichrome steel iris, chopping shutter,fading shutter and gobo slot. The gobo slotshall accept the rotating gobo holder andshall have a self-closing panel to close offthe opening when the gobo is not used.Spotlights that leave the slot open shall notbe acceptable. Lamp accessibility shall bevia a sliding rear drawer. The lamp can bechanged without the use of tools andwithout changing optical focus of the lamp.Only optical grade lenses shall be used. Asafety switch shall be mounted in such away that either removal of the spotlighthood or opening the lamp drawer shallrender the unit in the "off" mode. The lamphot spot shall be centered via the largeexternal phenolic knob at the rear of theunit. An external side mount knob shallcontrol field flatness. These controls arenon-interacting allowing the operator toquickly adjust the beam quality. Powercontrol of the spotlight shall be via twopush buttons mounted in the spotlight head.Removal of the lamp house top or loss ofpower shall render the spotlight in the "off"mode. Replacement of the top or restoringof the power will not unexpectedly ignitethe lamp. To restrike the lamp will require amomentary push of the "on" button. Analuminum triple flatted reflector shall besupplied. The unit shall include an elapsedtime meter. An operations unit containingthe spotlight electronics is quicklyaccessible from the bottom of the spotlighthead. A quick release electrical connectorshall be mounted on the bottom of thespotlight for connection to the remoteballast unit. The entire top is removable forinspection and maintenance. Current drawat 120 VAC shall not exceed 20 amperes.Photometric data shall conform to the tableprovided. The luminaire shall be a LycianStage Lighting StarkLite II Model 1272.
